Flyfishing for redfish this summer remains good. Even with the water temps being warm, flyfishing for redfish has been consistant. Tailing and backing fish have been the norm. The key is to get out early and target shallow water. If the lagoons recieve some rain, the fish stay more active longer due to the rain cooling the water. Crab and shrimp patterns, as always have been eaten consistently. If they refuse to eat, try switching to a bait fish pattern. Soon we will be able to target large redfish with the fly. When and where is the mystery.
